How to prepare to deal with a cyber security incident by walking through an analysis of events from detection to closure (and what would happen) during a generic incident. Further, if time permits, they will cover what to look for in the Audit of an Incident Response Process.
Gary Daemer, CISSP, ITIL, PMP, President and Founder at InfusionPoints, LLC
Cyber Security for Small to Midsize Businesses – Gary will discuss Cyber Security for Small to Midsize Businesses. They invest time and money to bring their business to life. They purchase insurance to protect their business, install locks on doors and fire alarms to protect their premises. Have they made computer security the same priority? Organizations must be able to trust their computer security and stability, yet these critical resources are under daily attack. What is at risk?
• Their money
• Their data
• Their identity
• Their hard earned business reputation
A computer failure or breach can damage a business’s reputation and add additional unplanned cost for damages and recovery. The small business owner, who recognizes the threat of computer crime and takes steps to deter inappropriate activities, is less likely to become a victim.
In this talk, Gary will discuss the following ongoing efforts of Cyber Security for Small to Midsize Businesses:
• Increasing the awareness of this lurking threat to small to midsize business livelihood
• Our outreach program to Government agencies, banks and the vendor communities
• Establishing an aggregation information portal
• How can you participate?
3 CPE credits will be awarded to attendees.
